Financial Assistance
Applications are now open for the KI Mayoral Relief & Recovery Bushfire Fund Application
Community Grants to help communities recover
Applications for Round 2 of the Bushfire Recovery Community Grants opened on Monday 3 August 2020.
Country SA PHN, via the Australian Government mental health response to bushfire trauma, is offering Bushfire Community Recovery Grants of up to $10,000 to deliver grassroots activities to 2019-20 bushfire affected areas that will strengthen social connectedness and support mental health and healing. The funding grants provide the opportunity for communities to come together to foster resilience, healing and capacity building.
While the current COVID-19 pandemic has created restrictions on social gatherings and an element of uncertainty about the future, groups are encouraged to think innovatively about how they can engage with their community following the pandemic. These activities will promote peer support and community capacity building, empowering local residents with the skills and resources to help each other, seek help and support others.
Applications will be accepted from community organisations based in a 2019-20 bushfire affected area.
The Federal Government will provide grants of up to $50,000 to impacted small businesses, and $75,000 to primary producers and farmers.
