Community Centres Working Group
Following a recommendation from the Community Centres Committee to Council, the Section 41 Committee was dissolved in October 2016.
A Community Centres Working Group has now been formed, and members from Progress Associations meet to discuss projects in their areas on a quarterly basis.
Please refer to Council Matters for future notice of meetings. Meetings are open to the public.
While operational, the Community Centres Committee (previously Town Centres Committee) met to discuss and recommend actions towards the objectives of the Town Centres Project of Kangaroo Island. This project covers the townships of Kingscote, Penneshaw, Parndana and American River. This project is about the improvement of town facilities, including walkways, entrance statements, pavements, town art and street-scape design.
