By-laws

Every seven years Council must consider and adopt new By-laws which includes a long and comprehensive consultative process.

A review of the 2010 By-laws was conducted and at the 14 February 2017 Council meeting, Council resolved to seek public comment on the draft By-laws.

At the 13 June 2017 Council meeting, Council adopted the new By-Laws and authorised the Chief Executive Officer to undertake all steps to finalise the review process and give effect to the newly adopted By-Laws.

On 4 July 2017, the By-Laws were published in the Government Gazette, and came into operation on 4 November 2017.

NOTICE is given that at the 9 February 2021 Council meeting, it was resolved that certain Designations operate in respect of certain activities under Foreshore and Boat Facilities By-Law No 8 (2017). Refer attached notice.

NOTICE is given that at the 9 March 2021 Council meeting, the Council resolved that the following Designations apply in respect of certain activities under Local Government Land By-Law No 3 (2017). Refer attached notice.

NOTICE is given that at the 14 June 2022 Council meeting, the Council resolved that the following Designations apply in respect of certain activities under Dog By-Law no 5 (2017). Refer attached notice.
