Consultation:Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

COMMUNITY CONSULTATION:

DISABILITY ACCESS AND INCLUSION PLAN SURVEY

Do you regularly experience access or inclusion issues?
What can Council do to assist?

Please complete our survey to have your say.

The Disability Inclusion Act 2018 requires all councils to develop and implement a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) to assist in planning and implementing improvements to access and inclusion.

These plans can benefit many people in the community including people with disability, the elderly, young parents and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Kangaroo Island Council recognises the importance of inclusion and access for everyone and we are committed to providing a welcoming environment. We are particularly keen to hear from people living with disabilities, and their carers, so we can plan Council’s efforts around these State Disability Plan themes:

 Inclusive communities for all
 Leadership and collaboration
 Accessible communities
 Training and employment

Survey closes Friday 30 October 2020.

We look forward to receiving your comments.
