Council Assessment Panel (CAP) is established with it’s principle role as a delegate of Council for the assessment of prescribed forms of development which fall outside of staff delegations (generally due to being non-complying developments, having significant social, environmental or economic effect, or are controversial in nature). The CAP is empowered to report to Council on trends, issues and other planning and development matters that have arisen through assessment of development applications.
CAP consists of one Elected member of Council and four independent members with relevant experience or qualifications, including an independent Chairperson.
The CAP meets on the first available Monday of each month at 1:30pm in the Council Chambers at 43 Dauncey Street, Kingscote.
Meetings are open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend and observe proceedings.
CAP agendas are made available five days prior to the meetings either electronically or in hardcopy at the Kingscote Office. Minutes are made available electronically or in hardcopy upon request following the meeting.
