Council is considering leasing part of Soldiers Memorial Park, Kingscote as identified below.
We are inviting interested persons to make written submissions in relation to the matter.
The Local Government Act 1999 requires Council to consult on all leases of community land greater than 5 years.
At its meeting on 9 April 2024 Council resolved to seek public consultation for 42 days as follows:
LAND - Soldiers Memorial Park, Sporting Complex & Surrounds 25 Centenary Avenue, Kingscote, CT 5568/114, Allotment 91, 92 and 93, Hundred of Menzies, in the Area named Kingscote;
PROPOSED LEASED AREA – Part Allotments 92 and 92 as identified in blue in the image below:
PROPOSED LESSEE – Kingscote Netball Club Incorporated ABN 15 977 602 {SA Incorporation No A7287}
PROPOSED TERM – up to 21 years;
PROPOSED USE – Netball and associated community activities

Council is seeing written submissions with respect to the above aspects of leasing of community land.
Public Consultation is for a period of 42 days commencing Thursday 2 May 2024 and closing 5:00pm, Wednesday 12 June 2024. To submit your feedback:
