The Kangaroo Island Library consists of two branches located in Kingscote and Penneshaw. The library offers a number of services and facilities to the Kangaroo Island Community as well as a wide selection of items to borrow.

Renewal of State Government Library funding agreement is in progress.
This potentially impacts Public Library's resource and service funding on a local Kangaroo Island level.
The KI Council supports the LGA as they seek an agreement from the State Government to maintain library funding.
