Rural Property Address Signage (RPA)

Rural Property Addressing (RPA) was introduced across the Council area in 2010 with the assistance of the Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure (DTEI), for the benefit of the broader community.

This initiative assists Country Fire Service and Emergency Service to find properties, help SA Police improves the safety of people in the rural areas, facilitate the delivery of services and infrastructure for community groups, and provides a certainty of location and a recognized address that can be understood nationally.

All occupied rural properties, homes and businesses have numbered property address consistent with the national standards for Australia and New Zealand. This RPA provides standardized means of locating rural properties throughout Australia with a system that is accurate, easy to understand and easy to apply.

The RPA application can be completed and returned to 43 Dauncey Street, Kingscote or by email to kicouncil@kicouncil.sa.gov.au

Once we receive the application, an invoice will be sent to your provided email address. A sign will be ordered for your property after the payment receive. Installation will be completed by Council staff on delivery of the new sign.

The new unique address is your official property address.  It will be entered in Council's property records for this purpose.  Council will refer to your property by this unique address for identification and/or location of your property.
