Recent changes to the Local Government (Elections) Act 1999 were passed by State Parliament in late November 2025 and came into effect on 1 January 2026. These amendments include updates to eligibility requirements for Council's voters roll. While some arrangements have been changed, the three key stages of the electoral process remain the same - Enrol, Nominate and Vote.
