Dogs and Cats Registration renewals are coming up soon
Owning a pet comes with many benefits, but also some legal responsibilities. Registering your pet is one of them. Every dog and cat over 3 months old must be registered.
Registrations are due every year between 1 July and 31 August. All Dogs and Cats over 3 months old are due for renewal regardless of when they were last registered. You will receive a registration renewal notice in July via your preferred contact method associated with each animal.
Dogs and Cats Online is currently unavailable while system upgrades are underway. Access is expected to be restored in the coming months. Updates from DACO can be found Here
While the system is offline, you can still take care of all dog and cat matters by getting in touch with council directly via Email at: kicouncil@kicouncil.sa.gov.au or via phone at 8553 4500 during opening hours.

- Register a dog or cat
- Register as a breeder
- Transfer ownership of a dog or cat
- Update your details
- Confirm your contact details
- Report a missing dog or cat
- Notify regarding the passing of a pet
- Get approval if you have more than 2 pets
